Bermuda Visa Information

Tourist Entry & Visa Routes for Traveling to Bermuda

Bermuda is a well-loved island destination known for its pink-sand beaches, luxury resorts, and relaxed coastal lifestyle. Many nationalities can travel to Bermuda without a visa for short visits, provided they meet entry requirements such as a valid passport and confirmed return or onward travel.

For those who need authorization, Bermuda offers a Visitor Visa, generally issued through British overseas visa procedures since Bermuda is a British Overseas Territory. Applicants may need to apply through a UK Visa Application Centre, providing documents such as proof of accommodation, travel itinerary, financial support, and a valid passport.

It depends on your nationality. Citizens of some countries (like the U.S., the U.K. or Canada) can enter visa-free and stay up to 180 days.If you are from a country not eligible for visa-free entry, you need a valid “Multiple Re-entry Visa” (MRV) for the U.S., U.K., or Canada to travel to Bermuda — because flights typically go through these countries.

You need a valid passport (some sources require that it remains valid for at least 45 days beyond your stay) plus a return or onward flight ticket.

If you’re eligible for visa-free entry (or meet the MRV + passport validity criteria), you can typically stay for up to 180 days in any 12-month period. If you arrive via a country’s visa (MRV), its validity — and your passport’s validity beyond departure — must meet requirements (e.g., valid for at least 45 days beyond your intended stay) to be allowed entry.
