Croatia Visa Information

Tourist Entry & Short-Stay Visa Options for Traveling to Croatia

Croatia is a stunning European destination known for its Adriatic coastline, historic cities like Dubrovnik and Split, and picturesque islands. Many nationalities can enter Croatia visa-free for short tourism stays, especially those covered by the Schengen visa-exempt list, making travel smooth and convenient.

Travelers who require authorization must apply for a Schengen Short-Stay Visa (Type C), which allows visitors to stay in Croatia and other Schengen countries for up to 90 days within a 180-day period for leisure, tourism, or family visits. Applicants typically need a valid passport, travel insurance, accommodation proof, financial support, and a confirmed return ticket.

Most travellers use the short-stay Schengen visa (Type C) to visit Croatia. This visa allows a stay of up to 90 days within any 180-day period.

It’s advisable to apply around 3–4 weeks before your travel date. Standard processing time is about 15 calendar days, though it may extend to 30 days (or more) in some cases.

You’ll need a valid passport (with at least 3 months validity after planned departure), a completed visa application form, proof of return/ onward ticket, confirmed hotel or accommodation booking, travel (Schengen-valid) insurance, proof of sufficient funds, and sometimes a travel itinerary.
