Fiji Visa Information

Tourist Entry & Visitor Visa Options for Traveling to Fiji

Fiji is a stunning island nation in the South Pacific, known for its turquoise waters, coral reefs, luxury resorts, and warm hospitality. Many nationalities can enter Fiji visa-free for short tourism stays, making it an easy destination for beach vacations, family trips, or honeymoons.

For travelers who require permission to enter, Fiji offers a Visitor Visa that allows stays for leisure, sightseeing, or visiting friends and family. Applicants typically need a valid passport, proof of onward or return travel, accommodation details, and financial proof to support their stay.

Those who wish to stay longer than the allowed period can apply for visa extensions through Fiji’s Department of Immigration. Longer-term options also exist for study, work, or residence, allowing visitors to explore and experience Fiji beyond a standard holiday.

Many travellers from visa-exempt countries can enter Fiji without a visa and get a Visitor Permit on arrival. If your nationality isn’t visa-exempt, you must apply for a visa or permit before travelling.

Visitors from visa-exempt countries generally can stay up to 4 months. If you wish to stay longer, extensions may be possible (e.g. up to a total of 6 months for some nationalities).

You’ll need a passport valid for at least six months beyond your arrival date, confirmed return or onward flight tickets, and proof of sufficient funds
