  • VISA C (Short stay) / The Schengen visa C is intended for touristic, business or visiting purposes (without gainful employment) for a maximum stay of 90 days per 180 days

For tourism, business, visiting friends/ family, or short trips, you generally need a short-stay Schengen visa (Type C). This visa allows you to stay in Germany (and other Schengen-area countries) for up to 90 days within any 180-day period.

Common requirements include: a valid passport (with at least two blank pages and validity at least 3 months beyond your planned departure), a completed visa application form, recent biometric passport-size photos, proof of travel (flight reservation), proof of accommodation, travel medical insurance valid for Schengen area (minimum coverage €30,000), and proof of sufficient funds for your stay.
