For short leisure visits, Ghana provides a Tourist Visa, which typically allows stays of up to 30 or 90 days, depending on the type issued. Applicants generally need a valid passport, passport-sized photos, proof of accommodation, return or onward travel details, and sometimes evidence of yellow fever vaccination when applying.

Visitors who want to stay longer than their permitted period can apply for visa extensions through the Ghana Immigration Service. The country also offers additional visa categories for business, study, or residence, giving travelers more flexibility for extended or purpose-specific stays.
